ACCESSIBILITY
Accessibility statement
Everyone should be able to search for a home here. This page states what Upah.ph does for accessibility today, where we still fall short, and how to tell us when something blocks you.
What the site does today
- Semantic structure — header/nav/main/footer landmarks, one
<h1>per page, labels on every form control, and error text associated with its field. - Keyboard support — every interactive control is reachable by Tab; dialogs trap focus and close on Escape; the detail gallery answers ←/→ arrows; skip-worthy regions keep visible focus rings.
- Reduced motion — a global
prefers-reduced-motionmedia query disables animations, parallax and smooth scrolling. - Contrast & type — body text targets WCAG AA contrast on the brand palette; nothing under 0.8rem body copy.
- Images — decorative art is
aria-hidden; meaningful imagery carries alt text. - Small screens — the layout is usable at 320px wide and filters collapse into a bottom sheet you can dismiss.
- No hijacking — links open where they say; no text resizing tricks, no autoplaying sound or video.
Known limitations
- The fullscreen lightbox zoom is mouse/touch-first; keyboard zoom lands on a later pass.
- Some user-uploaded photos have thin alt text — we surface the listing title as a fallback and nudge owners to describe images.
- Charts (price history, trend sparklines) are SVG; the same numbers are stated in surrounding text.
Tell us what blocks you
Found a barrier — an unlabelled control, a trap, a contrast failure? Report it through the contact page and mention the page URL and the tool you use (screen reader, keyboard only, zoom level). Accessibility reports go to the same triage queue as listing reports, marked reason: accessibility.
